class is designed for the beginner who is looking to find out about the
equipment, such as the fly rod, fly reel and fly line along with the
accessories.
The
class
promotes the use of the correct equipment for the job such as using a
balanced
system of fly rod, line and reel; along with showing how to
save money on
waders and other accessories.

a balanced rod and reel system should feel and look like. How to determine what
to spend using a
realistic budget.
This section also deals with
manufacturer brand names and warranties. (How

importance of the proper number of guides, Tip over

construction, Use of good cork handles, Use of different types
Graphite.
How
to pick out the correct
fly line. Double Taper vs. Weight

1 - The first
video deals with basic fly casting and gives an excellent description
of how to
perform the four basic casts and their mechanics before we
even reach
the water.
Video 2 -
Video
on basic stream entomology identifying the mayflies, caddisflies
and stoneflies and their life cycle stages. Video also
touches on where
to search for fish at different time of the year and day, along with
the major
areas of a stream and why trout inhabit these areas at
different times.
The movie also shows how to make several flyfishing presentations
using strke
indicators, dry flies and sinking tips.
